Hey, i partitioned my hard drive and installed linux on it. When i log in, i cant access any of the hard drives, it says "You dont have the privaleges". I logged on to the Root user and it worked just fine, but i cant change any of the privelages because it says read-only. Can someone help me out here?
EDIT: I am using ubuntu.

Hey, I use Ubuntu.
You must be root to mount filesystems.
NEVER log in as root, especially if your new, cos you could really mess up your system.

Mounting is easy, is the partition you want to use FAT32 or NTFS?
And do you want it to mount at boot or just once?

Rowan.

When you say "access" do you mean you can't write to the drive? It it's an NTFS filesystem (Windows XP) Linux can't write to it anyway. You can only read from those. For now.
If you can't write to the drive, right-click it's icon, choose "Privliges" and mount as read-write or something like that... It's probably different...
