Partitions...

E Money

OK long story short i did a clean install of windows 7 because everything kept saving to the partition ( C ) i designed only to hold my windows 7 install data. I made a separate partition for my programs ( D ) and another partition for my music ( E ).

I just got a warning that disk local disk C was about to be filled once again. How do i set this up so disk C wont be the default disk that everything saves too? This is really starting to piss me off. I set programs to save in D and i check disk C and there they are!! Should i reinstall windows 7 and save it to disk D and then make disk C my program partition?

Its like having a dog urinate on your roses instead of the grass. GTFO!!! This is not the designated piss area!! jesus christ...

Sorry, this is making me frustrated...

It might help to know what size partitions you are using and the size of the hard drive. Also the operating system will be installed on C drive. You should have at least 30 gb or more(50gb for extra room) for C drive operating system and programs(since some programs default to c drive and can't be changed. Use the balance of the drive for your data.

I have a TB. I wanted to give 10 GB for the os partition, and split the rest among D and E. Sounds like i cant do it without running into problems though...

10gb is way too small for the OS and other files. With a 1tb, make c drive like 50gb and install OS and programs there, leave the balance of the drive for your data.
