Hi, im using 3 Hdds, split up into 5 drives.. if that makes sense

40 GB split up into 10 gb and 30 gb
300 gb , not split up
30 gb split up into 2 x 15gb drives.

my c: is on the 10 gb partition and lately 10 gb isnt enough =S haha.
im planning to just reformat both my 40gb and 30gb and partition them properly. does anyone have any suggestions to how much i should partition the c: to? or the others?

sorry if this thread is a bit messy.

yEA, YOU PARTITIONED YOUR DRIVES(srry, caps was on). Usually for my operating system i do about 20GB-30GB, but it looks like you dont have a whole bunch of space. I would go with 20GB.

If you are not planning to multiboot different OSs you could go with an 80gb or even a 120gb to replace the two smaller drives and then divide with larger partitions with one for the primary and one or more for whatever. That would not only give more room but also free up a cable for another type of drive like a cd writer or dvd rom/burner that you could add later. With added softwares on the primary you can easily use up 30-40gb there. But then you could part the 40gb into two 20gb partitions with the 30gb being a single primary.

Ah, thanks for the quick reply. Not really planning on getting more dvd burners later on, as ive already got one. luckily ive got my 300gb harddrive to back everything up before formatting =)
