I plan to buy parts for a new PC I'm going to build. I plan to buy the parts in a week and a half.

These are the parts I have planned, please advice:


Motherboard: MSI X99A SLI KRAIT EDITION LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99

Looks a really good balanced build but id consider looking into the h100i GTX if its anything like the H110i gt i used to have it could only support 2 fans if you plan on push/pull.

Id also drop the noctua industrial, the fans are loud enough as they are and the industrial ones will be like leaf blowers and will give you a few degrees over the stock ones, the stock ones are really good fans.

id maybe consider a full tower case aswell if you can especially for 2x 980Ti's I used to have the MSI 980Ti's but they just got to hot for my liking 80c+. So look into the Gigabyte G1 or zotac Amp with 3 fans as they will provide better cooling.

1600w is too large of a PSU id get 1000w for that build or if you plan to upgrade in the future get a 1200w but 1600w would be for quad SLI systems and not needed for your build.

Unless you have a need for 64gb memory which i doubt, id drop it to 16gb. What do you plan to use the system for?

I was gonna say you should upgrade the case. The one Tyler has in his build is excellent, but something like a Fractal Design Define R5 or Phanteks Enthoo Pro will work just fine as well. The case you've chosen looks a little cheap compared to its asking price, in my opinion.

Where is your SSD?

What do you need 64GB RAM for?

The SSD is the SAMSUNG 830 256GB, which I already own.

I thought about going with 64GB for running multiple virtual machines.

I'm liking the Phantheks Enthoo Pro Jiniix posted.
