I just read an article about password security and the importance of using password managers. I am wondering about the need for this since I have a very strong password for important sites like email (I think my email password is 18 characters long). I can understand how powerful multiple GPUs are for password cracking, but how does this work for things like online email services? Can software automatically reload the page and enter a new password combinations very quickly? Or is there some other method being used? Also, what is the likelihood that someone could remotely access your PC and find the locations where you have hidden your difficult to remember passwords?
