Password Help

Can anyone advise how to access computer when password forgotten.
Its a Dell Inspiron 1545 running Vista. I've hit F8 to restore to factory settings, but it requires a password as well. I've looked at programs to do this but am not quite sure. Can anyone also tell me if its hard to replace the keypad on a laptop as well. I don't know what has happened to it but its missing buttons and doesn't work either. This is my daughter in laws laptop I'm trying to fix along with my son's laptop also a dell which he has killed. So will be back to find out how to replace the hard drive in a laptop. (Replaced many in desktops but not laptops)

So basically it's a bios password that comes up before Windows even boots up? If so then you will need to contact dell for support. Most of the time replacing keyboards are simple. As with replacing hard drives in laptops as well.
 
Password Help Fixed ;o)

I managed to retrieve the password with a program called: password recovery bundle. Worked fine and also managed to replace the keypad, watched a couple of youtube demo's ;o) So my daughter in laws is working fine now. Thanks
