Im not sure if this is the right section to post in so move it if it has to be moved. Thanks.

Now for the problem: Well my good friend of mine needs his password for his email adress of his and he can't get it bc someone found it out and changed it.

It's a hotmail account btw, is there anyway to get it back? I have his email adress and his used to be password if that's any useful ???
 
You could e-mail HotMail but they will not do too much. Easier to register with a new e-mail address....
 
There are password recovery tools available and freewares too. But where any account is "compromised"! you may want to advise your friend to not only go with a new account but to go with a different email provider to avoid future compromises. But this won't do any good since the "cookie" or text file originally created with the new password was not on your friend's machine(no record) and the option to have Hotmail send the new one to the "user"? was most likely changed to the "villian's" own address.

The auto response to an inquiry for a lost password would obviously let "someone else" receive that namely whoever violated the account. Have your friend notify all contacts when the new email account is created to no longer use the old account. And you are correct in assuming this should be moved to the security section.

I have a problem on my YM account.Because I set remember password and automaticy login of YM on my computer long time ago, so i don't remember my YM password anymore.I think my YM Password must be store somewhere on my computer but i don't know where.
So anyone can help me to recover YM password ?,plz!!!
