PATA and SATA

I have a mobo that supports both of them, is it possible to use one of each drive in order to copy data from one drive to another?

Perfet, that's what I was hoping to hear, a coworker of mine told me it wasn't possible, but I figured since it was both ports on the board, then why wouldn't it work? Then theoretically I can have 2 PATA and 2 SATA drives on my comp. *drools*

You can have both, a IDE and SATA drive at the same time

Just make sure to install the drivers for the SATA drive when you install windows if you want it to be master drive.

What do you mean, I plan to install the drive as a slave first, clone my main drive onto the SATA drive, and then use the SATA drive as the main one. Would I just install the drive first, then add the drivers as a slave?
