Patch not downloading

Well ive installed world of warcraft and the burning crusade, but when it tries to update the game the installer gets to 1% then cuts out. I have turned my firewall off but this still does not work and there is not a problem with my internet connection. Can someone suggest a solution to the problem of not being able to get past 1% of the patch downloaded.

Try to manually download the update. Instead of having the game download it, try and go to World of Warcraft's website and see if they have the update available there.
