is it possible to stick pc 133 sd ram into a motherboard that uses Pc 100 sd ram? is there any exceptions?

Ill be more precise, this mother board allready has 32mg pc 100 sd ram, i want to place a extra 128mg pc133 sd ram onto it, is that possible? i heard a friend tried it and got the annoying series of beeps from the computer notifieing that somthing wasnt right.

Yes in theory that should work, but you would only be running at the lowest speed of PC100, the beeps may have been signifying that the new RAM is faulty. Also, how old is this motherboard, if it is really old then it may only support up to 128Mb RAM.

Im not sure of the exact brand, im buying a P3 550mhz of a mate, and im just checking if im going to be able to get by with ram. I know its not a great motherboard, but its better than what i have now...*cough* P1 110mhz...128 mg is all i need for this computer, that will get me by. If the Pc 133 doesnt work, what sizes of Pc 100 Ram are there besides 32?

PC100 also comes in 128MB sizes.

I would buy PC100, instead of PC133 in your case, it will work, but you will see NO differrence in speed, becuase there won't be one. I would get the PC100, because it'll be cheaper :) and a slighter chance of it working.
