i bought p15 s409 laptop about 5 month ago. its got 512mb ram but when i bought it, the case said its pc2100. today, i opened my laptop, and it said its pc 2700? how does this happen?? is it faster or slower for my computer?
it's faster memory...but if the laptop does not support it then it will downclock it. you got lucky...usually they rip you off lol. what is the fastest memory your laptop will support?
With laptop memory, you have to make sure the modules are compatible with the board ... once thats assured then you can install faster modules in there if you so wish (they'll downclock to PC2100)
