Pc boot up problem

Hi everyone,
I had separated my Toshiba satellite-L450-L455-S5975 laptop from the battery for almost 3 months, had been quite busy. Recently when I tried booting it, a BIOS menu popped up showing system and video BIOS: Shadowed. I tried pressing esc bt nothng happened. Bt after a few mins it started and when I tried to enter my user account password it said it was incorrect. I then jst discovered that the letter "m", which was in my password could not wrk and once I pressed "x" it would be repeated. throughout.
Luckily I had a reset disk. It worked bt each time I reboot the BIOS menu appears and the letter problems are persistent.

Are you saying the keys are sticking on? It could be dust build up as crazy as that sounds have you blown it off to see if it helps any?

Well did you?
Try to enter some characters in the BIOS password fields and see if they are entered correctly. If they are not then it is either messed up BIOS related or hardware related. So in that case try to reset the BIOS and if it doesn't help and keys still act strange even in the BIOS then it is NOT because of Windows OS...it is hardware...You can also try a different keyboard just in case.
