PC Build - Mid range. Parts check please!

Hey guys, I've decided to do a build for a friend and I need a relatively low budget build so maybe around $400-$450 but I need to be able to run Minecraft and gmod with a little breathing room. T

This is what I have, but I'm afraid it's much too low end, and I'm still at $504.

Any opinions please let me know! Looking to start this build in the next two weeks if I can get the budget down.

Its good for the price.

The only thing I would recommend is to swap the CPU to a Pentium G3258, and the mobo to any random H97 board

The pentium is dual core and lacks a bit..

I'd recommend using the FX series or an A10 APU from AMD.

Though this 860K/A88XM is a good pair (I would know), it requires a BIOS update using a A6/A8 series processor.

The Pentium has a really good single core performance, and offers better upgradablility into an i5 or i7, and if you buy a Z97 board, you can wven upgrade to Broadwell

I'm reaaalllly trying to keep this build as close to $450 as possible unfortunately so that's why I'm going with AMD, although I did look at the pentium and if I play my case right I could knock $20 off hopefully and get the best of both. I'm a little curious as to how well AMD performs though... We will see!

How would I go about doing that? I'm glad you mentioned it because I had no idea.

I bought the A8-5600K from Amazon (the key to this), put it in the board, fired it up and updated in the bios settings using a USB with the file on it.

Then I returned it saying I was dissatisfied. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT DAMAGE THE PROCESSOR.

They won't take it back if you do..

Then I put the 860K back in and it worked just fine..

I almost wouldn't mind just paying the ten extra dollars and keep the A8 hahaha
