PC Desktop and Mac Laptop

First off I would like to say hello.
I am Stetson.

Right now I am on a custom built computer with Windows XP service pack 2.

I want to get a laptop soon, and I am going to want to transfer files between the computers, and I was wondering how much of a hassle that would be to do. I looked elsewhere but didn't really find anything that really answered my question.

Hey.

Transfer what kind of files?

If your talking about transferring stuff from a PC to a Mac laptop, assuming its music or something that compatible with both computers, then you make a home network, and access it on the Mac.

I am on my custom built PC, and have a MacBoom sitting right next to me.

You can dual boot XP or something on the Mac.

I have no problems getting my Macintosh to see my laptop and transfer files. I've never really tried the other way around, but pushing or pulling files, it really makes no difference :P Macs with OS X can also read FAT32 and NTFS drives. So simply loading files on an external drive or something like that would work as well.

I have an older P4 comp with Windows 2000 acting as a file server for my mac's and pc's.
I have no problem with any of the computers recognizing or transferring files back and forth to each other.
My Laptop and main pc is running XP
One of my macs is running OSX & the other has Debian installed on it.
The server has Win2000 as stated above and everything runs smoothly.
(As long as the file is recognized by the OS's you should have no problems)
