Hi i am a newbie to this forum. so dont know whether this post is already discussed.
I have a desktop with the BIOS of Award (american megatrends). i wanted to boot my desktop with an windows 7 bootable disk, and have set the boot priority to cd-dvd rom( 1st boot device) , and of course the dvd is bootable, but still i dont seem to have been able to boot my pc. IT DOESNT SHOW THE MESSAGE "PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD...". Is there any setting that turns off that message showing feature in the BIOS. or is there something else.. Please Help!!: :(

One question... Is your cdrom drive a dvd drive or cdrom drive? If its just a standard cdrom drive then it can't detect a dvd in the drive. Is this a custom built computer or store bought? How old is it? If store bought, we need the make and model number of system.
