Pc for Grandfather

I need you guys help, so i can figure out if its cheaper to just buy one built already or just get some cheap parts, he will only use the pc for internet at most. he is 70 years old so the most basic of the basic of parts are needed.

^yup, i would recommend that too...

A 1.6ghz atom cpu w/ HT would do fine :)


I bought a Penium 4 HT 2.8ghz for 60 bucks off ebay, i use i for a cheap gaming rig, plays mw2 on high, so i would look on ebay, you could get a good deal...
 
Look at eBay.com or amazon, you may find very cheap used PCs. If he will use it for reading e-mails than a used computer will do it. :)
 
Just remember though that if you spend a little bit more on a system now it will mean higher resale value later. If you buy the most basic low range system then their will be next to zero resale value in only a year or two time. He may decide that he likes the new computer so much that he wants to get a nicer system.
