i HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME , every time i play a game like(counter strike , battlefield 2 , farcry ) after few hours of gameplay the pc freezes with weird noise coming out of the speakers and you have to restart the pc . I tried reformatting my pc but it didnt work , I tried installing fans one 80mm and 120mm but it seem to get worse , my normal gpu temperature is 48C and 55-58 C while playing a game .(the tepms are not too high the pc should work fine) I also got nvidia beta drivers in order to run half life 2 game of the year edition . Because i couldnt run the game , the pc just restart itself while in the loading screen , but after i got directx 9.0c and nvidia beta forceware 82.12 it runs fine , but still the same freezing problem occur .

My vid card in nvidia geforce 6200se turbo catch , i have 1 gig of memory , 1022 of ram , and my cpu is 2.80 plz help , i dont know what to do ?

Go to computer management and check your event log. See if you have any failed applications.

Also, is it possible to maybe underclock your computer/video card? I had a computer that acted similarly when running full speed(1.4GHz) but ran fine at 1.0GHz.

Probably best not to even try and underclock if you have no clue how to get to it...

Right click on My Computer, click MANAGE, then you should see Events and Logs, then Event Log. Look for any "!"'s

I done what you told me , and i saw few problems , like error with dhcp , tcpip , dcom , and problems with service control panel , and automatic live update , there were many problems wirh aplication hang (101)
what does this mean ?
