Ok well after 3 months without a fast computer. I finally purchased my own.

The computer I built is in my sig plus a dvd-rom, floppy drive, a keyboard, and a case.

The total for everything SHIPPED except OS, and Monitor came to 593.79.

This build will be a lot faster and better than my old build.
OLD BUILD:
- 1500+ Athlon CPU
- MSI Delta Mobo
- ATi 9800SE Video Card
- Generic 300W PSU
- Western Digital 30GB HD
- and two different brands of memory. 2 sticks of 512mb

I was very pleased I got this build to this cheap. I am very happy, and I thank all of you who gave me insight to do this and who have helped me:P ! I def. will post some pics and other such things once I get this built:D ! UPS, HURRY UP!!!

I actually have three sticks,

- Elixir 256mb ddr 400mhz pc3200 I have 2 sticks of those
- Simpletech pc3200 1Gb

* I forgot I used my memory to put into my moms computers.

Good gravy! "cheap brand" supply! We need a good sticky here for good makes at reasonable prices I see. Let's see some ideas on good and bad with the incomplete list.

Good:
Akasa PaxPower - Antec(except Smart Power models) - Astec - AOpen - Channel Well - Coolermaster - Enermax(except Liberty models)
- Enlight - Fortron Source (Sparkle) - HEC - Hi-Power - Jeantech - NSpire - OCZ Technology - PC Power & Cooling - PowerMan
- Seasonic - SilenX - SilverStone - Tagan - TTGI/SuperFlower - Vantec - Zippy / Emacs - Verax - Zalman
- Corsair

Bad:
Allied - Antec Smart Power models seem to lack(recommend True Power or NeoHE) - Aspire - CoolMax - DEER - EYE-T
- Enermax Liberty models seeing problems - KingStar - L&C - Linkworld - Logisys - PowerMagic - PowerUp - Powmax - Q-Tec - Raidmax - Skyhawk - Star
- Turbolink - Ultra - ThermalTake - Rosewill(recognise this one?)

Well the model I got from Rosewill had no 3 star or below rating. And it had what I need plus some. I didnt want to spend 80 dollars on 500w

A good 400+ model would be all you needed if you are running stock. The list above is primarily based on user experiences and complaints seen on some makes and model lines. The remaining hardwares are looking good otherwise.

Jeeze, I hate waiting for huge packages like that to come. Then it's always really exciting and even more scary opening it. You know everything will be awesome, but there's always that chance it got damaged and you'll have to ship it back and wait for another one...

Well my mobo that came, the box looked like it was never thrown around. But Hey dont jynx me :) That thought has been going through my head for the the past 2 days... The packages are at the local UPS which is 5 miles from here. I'm gonna rob them and find my package... Don't tell my employer FedEx i ordered through UPS ;)

ups is usually slower than fedex in terms of the same type of service...

one time i did a overnight shipping and then they delayed it for a day and i still had to pay the same price...

That's because you pay a little more there! :P Gee $1.? something difference on a sata drive to be shipped to...

Its about 5-8 dollar difference from ups 3 day and FedEx 3 day... I work for FedEx I def. know its not 1 dollar. Also, when i ordered my mobo i got lucky and got my mobo from newegg in Cali in 2 days when i paid for 3 days... It's been 3 days today for my current packages and they are OUT FOR DELIVERY!!!

Thanks for telling me it's nice. I usually dont get that from ppl. They like to FLAME me or tell me oh u should've got this, buy this... Thank you for just telling me "nice computer." Meant a lot.:D ;)

That was a price difference for one item only seen at one vendor when looking at one item. The $1+ was the difference seen for that items namely a WD 500gb sata drive. Obviously different items with different weight will see different prices accordingly. Generally I seem to always go with UPS ground since they take a week anyways! "Where's my stuff?! " who knows?

just got my stuff today around 4pm!!! it was like x-mas all over!!!! I actually had a white x-mas this time LoL.... Welp Im gonna go start building it. I will post any problems I have tonight. Thanks guys!

Was built in about an hour. first build EVER. Turned it on the first try and fired right up!!! Very fast! Loving it guys! :)

Glad to see you had some favorable results to tell us about. :D Now you just have to keep it that way for as long as you can.
