Pc is going gettig slower and slower..help please

Hello as the topic says my computer is getting slower and slower in the beginning.when i start up my pc and it enters windows has loaded the icons etc, it's not responding for more than 5 minutes if i want to run an application...Second thing that is strange is that when i right click on the wallpaper to enter the properties i only see the tab withthe desktop theme and the other tabs don't show up..the image i have uploaded is the defragment resulti have obtained with diskeeper.there are a lots of green lines everywhere..Is it the reason why my pc is slow at the startup?

You could do with a defragment, virus scan and remove a few things from yout startup to make it load up a but faster.

Click > Start > Run > Type in msconfic > Go to startup tab > uncheck anything you don't need, make sure your system doesn't need it first though.
 
1. As suggested, do a defragment. This isnt really a seriosu solution because, as soon as you do anything, youll refragment

2. Have a look at scanning for spyware. Some popular applications here are Spybot and AdAware Personal both of which are free

3. How much "crap" do you have? If you're machine has a lot of crap in it, there's not a whole lot you can do short of starting to remove it

4. Use something like Startup Manager to limit the crap thats starting up when you fire up your machine
 
Yer like they said, defrag ya computer and check for spyware and virsues, one time i had a few viruses and its slowed my computer right down and stop some programs from starting up straight away
 
I have the same problem but mine is with startup crap. I have two blank places on the startup tab and then AOL Software and iTuneshelper. The only thing I can't figure out is how two windows of IE open when I start up. Could that be the blanks and what things do I need to keep?
