Hi everyone
im having this problem of my computer keep restarting at night, the thing about it is, i dont no when it restarts, because it seems like it restarts when im asleep. this is the case, i use it all day, leave it on 24/7 while im up it dont restart, even when i go out there is nothing but then before i sleep i normally leave my pc on and convert rmvb files to mpeg or converting mpeg to dvd, doing either one of them. but when i get up in the morning i was expecting it to be completed, but the problem is when i get up all i can see is a restarted pc and files didnt finish converting or burning. even with d/l i dont get much done before i sleep and when i wait up. therefore it seems like the pc restart not long after i sleep. i dont get why its happening, it never did before. whats my problem? it sounds really werid but yeah thats the problem and the computer seems completely fine when im using it.

Try to disable the automatic restart in a case of critical error (Control panel > System > Advanced > Startup and recovery > uncheck "automatically restart").

This way you should see the error message if it happens again.

I had a problem of things going bump in the night. I wanted to find out when a strange dialog appeared (caused by a macro going astray) so I could try and find the source. I set up a screen capture program (I used X-Shot for this problem) to take low quality jpegs every minute (set to suit). This may not be of help to you but I mention it as a general analyzing tool for monitoring unattended behaviour.
