PC not POSTing

Hi I am new -

My desktop PC is not power on self testing

I left it on and went to work and left it running, but set uTorrent to shutdown on completetion (I was getting an old Linux .iso - not pirating!)

On coming back, it appeared to have frozen in the middle, with no monitor - I powered it off and on again, an it just won't post, no beep, no video output at all no nothing!

I have tried:

-Testing the monitor
-Removing and reseating the CPU, RAM and all cards and drives
-Checked the power supply unit
-Resetting the BIOS by swapping the jumpers and removing and replacing the CMOS battery after a time
-Checking that the motherboard is not touching the chassis in case of a short.
-Swearing

I at least got the beep code error when removing all RAM and powering up! Can I do anyhing else?

Please help !!!!

so you got error beeps only after removing all memory, do you have any other spare memory you could use to test.

No none spare sadly

have you tried putting one stick in at a time, just to see if perhaps only one of the memory sticks are causing the problem.

When you did all that on the list what was the outcome... when you tested the PSU alone did it work? If you gettin error beeps from teh memory might wanna see if you can pick up a cheap stick and see if it will boot
