PC Project Question

Building a few machines for the childrens hospital for a Halloween gala thing..anyhow

They need the PC's to fit on these roller carts so they can essentially be moved to where ever a screen is so I got to building a few MITX builds - now my question here isn't about what parts to use as much as a specific choice between 2 options. Price isn't a concern, just what would you pick and why.

We are using Fractal Design Node 202 chassis.

-We can use a low profile/slim air cooler, and have full space for an (up to) 310mm GPU

or

-Sacrifice the GPU space for an AIO liquid cooler solution on the CPU, and use a mini GPU (ex. Gigabyte GTX1070 mini OC) (tiny cut needed to fit liquid cooling tube, but minor)

Depends on what processor you're planning to run.

Ahh, glad you mentioned that. I was thinking a non-K, as the unknown with this build is overheating. I'm honestly thinking i5 6500 is sufficient, but the AIO option regardless seemed worthwhile, just due to the hotter environment?

I mean, if you run with an AIO setup, you can pretty much run a 6700k and even OC it a bit. Also, is the power of a 1070 even needed? What kind of res are the screens in the hospital? I doubt they're higher than 1080p. You can probably get away with a 1060 6gb, and for the most part, a lot of them are already ITX sized cards.

Have you seen this video?

The guy does the cut to the frame to squeeze the AIO tubes in, but he just leaves it like that. I would recommend finding a piece of metal that with go beneath where it was cut and screw it on both sides to restore the rigidity of the frame.

I did see that video! a few others too.

I agree a 1070 is probably overkill, but gigabyte offers 1060 and the 1070 in mini, single fan variants. I pretty much guarantee the TV's are all 1080, flat screens, but def no 4K..etc. Part of why the company does these charity things..especially for the kids, bad enough being sick but then being bored...shitty stuff right there.

If I opt to not do the AIO/chassis modding, what would be an appropriate air cooler that isn't as crappy as the stock one?
