Hi,
Got a problem with a machine. It is a Dell Optiplex GX280. Brief spec:
2.70GHZ,
1gb ram
Windows XP - SP2
40GB HD
Pc runs fine until a certain application is run. Task manager states the PC is using about 2-4% usage. The application is a tutorial-e-learning thing that runs through the web browser. i.e. the extension in use is .html
When this program is launched the PC goes ultra slow, and then when i check the CPU usuage the graph is right at the top and it states it is using 100% of resources. Why is it doing this? An another exact pc (spec, programs) runs it with no difficulties at all.
Please help as I need to fix this ASAP! Any suggestions are more than welcome. Im in the process of Windows updates as a long shot - dont think it is that personally - but you never know! Originally I thought it may require more RAM, but 1gb is more than sufficient i feel.
EDIT: PC is clean from Viruses + Spyware. Scanned today with updated definitions.
