What's up people?
My computer just decided to shutdown and now will not start up. It seems like it's getting now power at all. I've tried different outlets and nothing.
Any help I can get would be appreciated.

Did you by chance flip the little black switch on the back of the power supply? :) I know it has happened to me more than once..

Yeah, I switched it from 145 to 230 and back. I also tried the other switch on the PSU inside the box. NOTHING.

Does anyone know why a PSU would go bad? If that's the problem. I've had and built a few PC's and this is a first.

I am pretty sure all power supplys eventually die. How long ago did you purchase it, as you may still be able to return it for a new one.

There could be something besides the powersupply also.

Try another PSU.

If that doesn't work then perhaps you've blown your motherboard?

How long has the PSU (the one that doesn't work) been functional for in the past?

Yeah, I switched it from 145 to 230 and back.
Don't do that :).

Systems specs are always helpful but in this case it sounds like something is def. blown. You've said you've tried diff. outlets but I'm sure your prob still using a power bar of some sort so have you tried a diff one of those? checked the breaker on the power bar? (if that's what your using). When you flick the power switch on the computer do the fans spin up even for a sec? Could be PSU or could be motherboard or a few diff. things for that matter.
