Hi guys, i just got around to building my 4th pc...but one problem. It won't stay on longer than 5-10 seconds. it beeps (post) and it allows me to enter bios too, but the whole process isn't longer than 5-10 seconds.

i thought it might be a power load so i unplugged the dvd drive, fans, lights, and case light 4pins.
i reset the cmos
i unplugged the hard drive
i changed the ram

after doing all this, the problem still persists..?!?!

please tell me it isn't the motherboard :( :(

I'm going to guess overheating issue. I know it's your 4th Build, but...

TP applied correctly?
HSF installed correctly?

hey, ya it's ok if it's my 4th build, everyone maked mistakes :o;)
i reapplied thermal paste, and tried to seat the heatsink, i then realized that one of the push pins were broken. after replacing the heatsink, the problem was fine!

bythe way, before (with broken heatsink) the cpu was at 121 degrees CELSIUS!!!
