PC Shutting down into a black screen and noise from speekers.... ;(

3rd time it has happened in past hour.

Pc sorta shuts off and screen goes black and you hear like a fast rythem tapping sound from the speakers..... Anyone know wth is going on??? All 3 times i was playing a game as well...

did the PSU come with the case? or was it bought seperate? do you know the volts and such for the PSU? I am thinking that you may not be getting enough power so the pc shuts down and the noise from the speakers is just the game sound looping, like when a pc freezes.
 
Nah i don't bro. ;(

Its been workin fine for past 6 months. But then i had a video card fan lock up on me and torch the card. Had it replaced then when im runnin a 3d game i get noises not sure if that can be tied into that. It hasnt' happened again yet...
 
It seems as though it is your Power Supply, Check the PSU 101 and it will help you find a good one, I would recommend one that has 30a or more on the +12v rail

I would wait for another opinion on it though, I'm not too experienced but from all the times I have seen that pc's shut off or restart randomly it is because they are not getting sufficient power.
 
OMFG i get the same S*** it pisses me off
say..im watchin a movie on wmp
then It like..laggs real quick and black screen

Also when im gaming sometimes my speakers make weird sound
like a beep kinda.....

i was thinking its my gpu (4800Ti) :(
 
in most situations the PSU that comes with the case will not be ready to handle what most people are putting into those cases. If you get one for free with your case I say run it until it dies but be prepared to buy a new one.

On second thought you wouldn't want it to go all faulty and get a surge and mess up the other components. I don't know if that is possible though. We need someone more knowing than me in here lol.
