PC too slow or too old?

Hey guys,
I`ve got a concern:

My PC takes more than 2 min to fully boot. After ca 1 min the desktop is shown but nothing works or it "loads" very long time.

I`ve disabled some auto start programms and all i`ve got are:
Realtek HD Audio Manager
AmbRun Endpoint Dynamic Link Library
Skype
Creative Volume Panel
CatalystControlCenter

So pretty much skype that uses anything "big".

I also did the fragmentation thing (was on 17% when is started it) but didnt feel any difference.
CCleaner (check)
Deleting old unused Programms (check)

Dont know what else to do.

Here are my specs:
Win 7 home pro 64
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor 3.2GHz
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD Series 6900
Storage : 931GB Western Digital WDC WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0 ATA Device (SATA)

Please! Help!

Try disabling Skype, and if you have any type of registry cleaner software disable that too.

An SSD would ultimately fix your problem :)
You can also try opening Run (Start - R) and type MSCONFIG.
Under 'Boot' you can enable all your six CPU cores during boot. This shouldn't change anything once you're in Windows, but during bootup it will utilize all six instead of one - which could make it finish things in Windows faster.

As per the above that'd make a large difference.

A fresh format would probably do you wonders as well if you didn't want to spend anything. I'd probably also do a seatools scan on the drive beforehand as well.

I did the MSCONFIG thing i couldnt notice a difference (but bth never had an eye on the process before windows).

I planned a fresh windows 10 install in cople of months anyway.

So if i get SSD, is there a way to copy everything?
And what would a clever way of copying be (i mean, i divided my harddr. in 2 and the part without windows is easyly copied but what about the rest?) ?
Or is it possible just to copy the part without windows and install win 10 from a medium (usb?) ?

You install Windows on the SSD and then copy your document, pictures, music, etc. over. You have to reinstall all your software. You can't just copy it.

You use a secondary drive (a mechanical hard drive) to store long term data and software you install that you either don't use often or is very large (games for instance).

Can i do following:

I build in the ssd ( my old drive is still connected ) and then in that state i install win 10 on ssd (i can split ssd too or is splitting on a ssd not that beneficial?) ?

There's no point in splitting the SSD.

You should unplug your old drive just so you don't accidentally screw it up installing Windows.

Having a mbr/root kit infection will cause very slow boot up. Have you scanned for malware?

I had similar specs to you, Windows 7 and a Phenom II and I would boot in to Windows in about a minute or less with a normal HDD. Running CCleaner probably would help and a fresh install of Windows would work wonders as well. SSD is always a good option, and if you want to upgrade to W10, it boots a whole lot faster.
