PC Troubles

Today, i popped open my pc, took out a stick of ram and put it back in. Upon turning my pc back on, I smelled burning, so I immediately shut off the pc. I opened it up again, just to find the Ram stick wasn't properly inserted, and backwards. So I put it back in and then the pc said it only detected single channel so I swapped the ram sticks around.
Now when i turn on the pc, no signal is detected on the monitor. Inside the case, all seems fine, all cables are properly plugged in, so what could be the solution? Help!

Try resetting the cmos. Take the battery out for a few minutes or read your motherboards documentation on how to do it and try booting up again.

I reset the CMOS, still nothing. Opened up the PC, took everything out to check for signs of frying, but nothing. Put everything back in, but not it doesn't even start! I press the power button, the fans spin for like a tenth of a second then stop, nothing...

I took out the guilty RAM stick, but still, as I press the power button, the fans spin for a tenth of a second then stop... I'm wondering if maybe the PSU is bust, and can't give enough juice to the MOBO, which is why it fails to start...

The power LED on the MOBO is lit, which means it must be getting at least a little bit of current...

HELP!

so I swapped the ram sticks around.

If you smelled something burning, it shorted. (Either the stick or the slot or maybe both) Then turning around and putting the good stick in the bad slot and the bad stick in the good slot. You probable screwed the board and both sticks of memory.

Is there any way to confirm that the board is screwed? Cause I took it out of the case and examined it closely for signs of burns, but nothing.

If indeed it is fried, are the other components also screwed? (CPU, HDD, CD drives, etc.)

No, probably didnt mess anything else up. Take a magnifying glass and look at the contacts on the memory and the contacts inside the memory slots and see if there is any burnt or melted spots.
