PC Upgrade

Hi guys

I'm going to be upgrading my pc in the next few weeks and would like some advice on a few things. I want the pc for cad, gaming and multimedia.
Which of the following will need upgrading:

-amd athlon 2400xp cpu
-Geforce 4200Ti (know this needs upgrading cos i can't play anything anymore) possibly Geforce 7300, or is there a cheaper option, eg radeon?
-512 RAM
-80gig hard drive

It depends on what games you'll play, what CAD you'll be doing etc.

To play current games, you'd need to buy a whole new system (except the hard drive, which you have).
 
add 512mb of ram, get a better video card, and if you can afford it a better cpu...
i suggest you wait until after vista and dx10 are out, since more newer technologies will take hold after a bit of time has passed and there will be much more powerful video cards on the market very soon, like the R600 and such...

once directX 10 is out, people will start buying more 8800's and r600's and other cards will become very cheap
