Hi all new ere, im no expert in pc 's but i will try and help out where i can!

Anyways my prob,
I have a 2nd pc i use for pottering around on the web, listening to music and doin odds and sods!!! but i seem to have this issue that has started in the last couple of weeks.
I turn the pc on and all fans spin, lights work etc.. but the screen stays off and nothin else happens. So i turn it off by pressing and holding the power button and it will turn off then straight on again by it self, it will do this 4-5 times then it will boot up and all is well, well sort of!
Then when windows loads my cpu temp on everst is 55oc in idle, and in bios 52oc...

So what i have done so far; re - flash'd the bios with currant update, reinstalled windows, brought a new AC pro64 cpu cooler, put a new 480w hiper type r psu, (checked,Hdd,mem, cpu,Gpu,and mobo at a pc shop) removed all heatsinks on board cleaned and re applyed with thermaltake silver paste, and still same fault every day when it switched on!
When its on and running apart from the high temp it working fine, its been on 3 whole days now and has'nt shut down yet because high the temp.

System spec
ex HP system,
Athlon 64 3700+
2 gig ocz DDR400 ram
GF 7300GT pci-e
Msi AMETHYST-M mobo
windows XP pro sp2

Thaks in advance for any help

You broke it fag, nice job.

bout time he got banned. jeeeez that was a silly comment...

anyway, can you hear any beeps when you turn on the computer and it does nothing? there are usually post code beeps that will help you identify why your computer is not posting properly. if you hear them, remember the order (like 3 short beeps or 2 long beeps, etc) and you can look them up online for your type of motherboard and figure out what it is saying is the problem.

Of course there's no beeps you shit eater.

lol, after all your rants about being the most mature person in the world and this is the rebuttal methodology you come to? sounds like even the most mature in the world get a little bitter sometimes :P

Thanks newguy for reply, no bleeps at first just fans and lights. hence me thinking psu, but when it finally does boot i get 1 bleep which is system healthy accordind to my mobo info booklet. I tried a 3500+ in tonight and same prob but my temps with this chip are around 30oc ish.

Also a comment bout 'fortyways', wtf you on, get a life and grow up, if you got nothing better to do go play with ya plastic toys cars!!!
