Hi all.
First, thanks to all who have answered my questions as of late.

This means a lot to me: I have a friend whose pc wont log in. She cant get to the log in screen. All she gets when she tries to log on is a disk error message. There are no disks in any disk drives, so thats ruled out.
On Friday, she could log on; however she was having problems looking at email - her system was fluttering a bit.

She has either 2000 or XP.

PLEASE help.

A rough decision would be to re-format the hard drive. It would allso be a good thing to check for loose cabels.
 
The disk error that you are seeing is to do with the hard drive, probably a corrupted windows, not anything to do with your cd/dvd drive!:)
