PC wont start up

hey.

when i press the power button on my PC it dosent start up...
it makes sounds as if it was starting up, but screen remains black... it continues to make sounds asif it was turnd on, but eventually after 5-10 mins it starts up..

wondering wtf is wrong...
 
Is this a new system? Or one you have had for awhile.

If it's an old one and this just started, then I would say it's the power supply.

Probably true even if it's a new build.

Because it eventually starts, that tells me it could be the PSU.

Have you done any upgrades lately? Like upgrading the video card. If so it might be drawing to much power for your PSU.

Check all your connections, if one is loose it could be causing the problem.

An over abundance of dust built up can cause heating problems. Make sure your case is clean by using a can of compressed air to blow it out.
