PC100 vs. PC133 memory for gateway.

I have a old Gateway computer that has PC100 memory in it. Could I use PC133 in the machine? They say it might cause a window's problem, but I'm going to be installing ubuntu, and I need at least 256MB to boot the install. Also where is the cheapest place to buy this kind of memory. Newegg was kinda spendy...

Technically it should work. I've seen some machines that were very picky about their memory, but you should be alright.

As for where to get it, places like ebay would probably be your best bet.
