I have a three year old computer and I currently have the FX 5500 (AGP) installed as a graphics card. Is it possible to install the PCI Geforce 7300GS on my motherboard and what do you this of this card?

I think the 7300GS is PCI-E to use that card, you would require a new motherboard with a PCI-E slot.

probly be cheaper to get a decent AGP card rather than a decent motherboard that you have to get to work with everything else.. plus just getting a new card is so much easier :)

You would be better off with a 7800GS which has been recently released for AGP slots and is a pretty solid performer

However...

With the price of the 7800GS being 300 USD he can get a half way decent motherboard, and an adequate amount of video power too :D

Try this combo if you want...

Asus A8N-SLi
Leadtek 6800GS

However the only problem with this is if you don't have a socket 939 processor... you're gonna have to look at a different plan

What is your current mobo and PSU?
