pci-e 1x in a 16x slot???

Expansion Slots3 PCI Express (Gen 2) x16 slots - 2-way or 4-way CrossFire at x16/x16/NC bandwidth - 3-way CrossFire at x16/x8/x8 bandwidth - 2-way CrossFire + Physics at x16/x8/x8 bandwidth
3 PCI slots
But your not going to run Nvidia cards in SLI on that board. Its a Crossfire board for AMD/ATI cards

Humans are curious creatures and by nature insane. Lock us all in a room together and within hours we're dividing into groups, creating Gods and plotting on how to kill one another.- LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

allright so the py card will work in the pci-e 2.0 slot.
but what about the powersupply?- 1000w,1250w or 1500w?

No you wont need a 1000W P/S.

A 1000W PSU would only be needed for 3 or 4 graphics cards, but more then two makes very little difference for performance, for a single high powered card, a 600W supply is more then plenty, for two, 800W is more then plenty (Yes, those wattages are both a little high, but better to spend 10$ more on a beefier PSU then 1000$ on a new system, right?)

i had my 550w powering a 3.2ghz AMD x2, ati 3870 and 4850 (non CF) and five fans, 3hdd... i'd say 600 if you're crossfiring (so long as it's a good brand, not something like sonic power or a generic.)
