PCI-E 2.0 to 2.1

I have a setup ready to buy and everything fits except the graphics cars.
The ATI Radeon HD 5850 needs PCI-E 2.1 and my motherboard has got 2.0.

i have read some places that it does fit but im still not convinced.

can a 2.1 fit into 2.0?

pcie 1.0, 2.0, 2.1 are all the same physically

Just rated at different transfer speeds, you'll be fine

It will work just fine, no performance loss. 2.1 just has a few updates that will be included in 3.0

The ATI Radeon HD 5850 with 2.1 PCI-E will fit my motherboard´s 2.0 then.

Basically no difference between them. I'm running my pci-e 2.1 5770 in a 1.1 slot.
