pci-e external enclosure ideas?

Hi,

I have a full size pci-e card that won't fit in a rackmount server. I'd prefer not to use a riser card. Is there a way to "externalize" the pci-e card?

I did a search for this, but don't understand. Are you saying get a new pci-e card that fits the server? If so, that can't happen...I have to use the one I have.
