PCI-E on AGP

Each type goes into a totally different type of slot even while those look similar by appearance only. That's like trying to put dvd into a floppy drive to watch it. Won't work will it?

They have a different name for a reason. I have seen people trying to saw off bits and sand back some other bits to make it fit. =_=, In that case the card would fit, but it wouldn't work. :P

That extra tab seen on the end of the card is there to insure that it goes into the correct slot alright. In a sense you are dealing with two different types of devices while they still serve the same purpose being display.

The new models now seen also see dvi output where you need a vga to dvi adapter included with the card for older lcd and crt use there. Once I removed the adapter and got around to plugging in the dvi cable for the new lcd here it saw a big difference when the latest update for the card went on.
