Here is my situation my computer has a rubbish mobo, none the less i love it to pieces. It's Pci connection point is only Pci express 1.0 (250 MB/s with Pci express 2 being 500 MB/s)
For example sake if i where to get a nividia 8800 GTX (PCI Express 2.0 like other GPU made after 1990
) How much would i be limited. Would i have literally half the speed or would it be only slightly noticeable. Another issue i face with this is would me getting and old 8800 GTX and on my computer it would still only be as fast as the latest and greatest.
And if my crappy (I think it is homemade
) Mobo will slow me down too much what GPU would be best (Like should i go for an extra powerful GPU to equal it out or just go for an old one becuase nothing i could ever do (Ever) would make it any faster)
