pci express 2.0 gpu on express mobo ok?

My 2x8600s can max out CoD4, a single 9800GT is better than these 2 combined and that pisses rings around that, so very very easily it can run it on full. If you have any other issues/queries about your mobo or compatability or whatever i have the same on so just ask. I also think that scout does too, sure he would be happy to help if i can't :D

yeah very strange we have similar builds... but 8 gbs of ram.. thats insane... you should try windows 7..l. I installed it a few days ago... i had a problem trying to install my network card on my mobo.. so im using wireless :(

Tried windows 7, hated windows 7, went back to vista because, and you can tell this from several of my other posts :P, i love vista.

I have actually had crap loads of problems getting the 8GB to work, had to change voltages and stuff to get it stable, still not quite there yet, but almost, i am getting there. It is more stable than it was afew months back :P

If you are on about the integrated wired network port, mine went in fine, no problems as did my belkin wireless card, so all is good there, why you had issues i'm not sure, maybe try a windows 7 repair/reinstall?

How can you love Vista and Hate Windows 7?

Not like it's night and day different. lol

haha yea i know that 7 is vista on a diet, or atleast the beta is.

I didn't like how it didn't have the side bar, how thye put the useless desktop button in the bottom right (so useless i bet half of you will not know about it until now, i only found it by accident), how windows explorer is still as **** as it is on vista, how it wouldn't run my steam games or older games that i have working on vista.

I know it is beta still so hopefully alot of that will bbe ironed out but i spent more time on the feedback thing telling em stuff i think should be fixed than i did using the OS because i was on it that much. The only good thing is that they put in a defrag where you can see where it is up to, but as i have a O&O defrag, this is useless and just a little perk.

My system has enough memory to be able to cope with ultimates extras and vistas nice little graphics so why would i want to get rid and go to an OS which has less?

hey Aastii, well for 16 years old you seem to have 10x the knowledge of builds and OS then me... I am not sure why you would have to change your voltage for the OS... are you talking about from overclocking? Your belkin network card was okay? Maybe I was having an issue with my router... I have gotten steam to work with my windows 7... I just had to turn on compatiblity mode(I think to vista sp1) and everything works great now... I am not a big vista fan.. My laptop I left with my girlfriend in germany has vista 32bit and I was astonished to see how much virtual memory it eats and how often it crashed or froze.... wouldnt say windows 7 is better... but Is a lite version of vista... upgrade to xp :)

hope my gpu comes today.. take care

I hear what you're saying, but indeed, it's Beta, and that's what the feedback is for.

It wouldn't let me play BF2142 online, so I installed Vista x64 on my main rig, but I have Windows 7 on my media pc in the living room, and for that, there's no issues.

You like having the dark bar on the side of your screen versus no black bar,
and being able to put gadgets where you like? Hmm. I prefer the freedom. :)

The Show Desktop is a bit out of the way, but you don't need to click it, just run your mouse into the corner. Anyway, enough of the hijack. I know what you mean. ;)
