Hi! I am thinking of buying a graphic card for my computer for games and multimedia purpose, but my computer does not support AGP and PCI-E graphic cards. This only leave me with a choice of buying PCI graphic card and what sort of graphic card do you recommend?

My Spec:
Dell Dimension 3000, 2.8 Hhz
256 NECC DDR 400 Mhz SDRAM
40GB IDE (7200RPM) Hard Drive
Sound Blaster Live 24 Bit Sound card
16X Max DVD-ROM
BENQ DVDRW
15 inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of games do you play? An FX5700LE will probably be the best PCI card you will find. For something a little lower end a radeon 9200 is ok.

yea like cromwell said, the best card out there in pci is the fx5700le. and i would advise adding at least another 256mb ram.

If you want one in the $25.00 range try this one. I just bought it, its only 64MB though... Good enough for me, 'cause I don't do any really high-end games (Return of the King is the highest quality game I play).
what one?

Thanks fir all the replies.

I am intending to play GTA III, Ground Control II, Halo, Sims 2, Red Alert General, etc.

What is the brand of this graphic card, FX5700LE which you recommend? Is it Leadtek GeForce FX5700LE 256MB or MSI FX5700LE TD-128?

Thanks

it may be a bit sketchy playing halo with the fx5700, but you may be able to on low settings. And i would upgrade to at least 512mbram if u want to play those games.

When do you plan on buying a new computer? That one you use now isn't very good and isn't very expandable, and if you are going to play games you can't utilize that very well.
