PCI TV Card better than USB?

Just need another question answered :)

I used to have a Hauppauge Nova-T USB2 TV Freeview Card (and before that a Artic card).

Im in a good Freeview Area
System requirements are better than reccomeded
Card Drivers installed fine

But what Happened was when I opened WinTV up, or GBPGR, (or something like that) around half of the avaliable channels all had streaming problems, Looked pretty much like lag tbh, (not system lag)
Oh and when I recorded and started playback I could see most of the recording (except from where the lag in viewing was really bad {if that happened I just see a few lines on the screen for a few seconds}).

This is telling me that theres delayed response from the card to the system. right?

I have heard that most PCI/PCI-E cards are much better than there USB alternatives.

I would just like to know if anybody here has had a USB and PCI card, and what was the one they found better?

Cos both my 2 USB cards have been really bad!

So to sum it up would getting a PCI card show any improvements?

USB causes more strain on the processor. Most USB devices I've seen either produce lesser quality than PCI capture cards, or cause skips and such during capture. PCI is more reliable, from what I've seen, as well. I've seen so many USB capture cards stop during captures or just plain stop working with a single computer. This is almost never a problem with PCI.
