I read that the pci-x and 64 bit 3.3 volt cards are able to work in a 33 mhz, 32
bit pci slot. I read that the faster card will "throttle back" to the 33 mhz, 32 bit speed of the regular pci slot. I just wanted to make sure that is true before buying an expensive adaptec 21610sa or an areca pci-x sata raid card. It would be much less expensive than buying an eatx server or workstation board. Thanks for any help in this area.
