PCMCIA capture card to run PS2 on laptop

as the subject says, i've been searching for a way to run my ps2 on my laptop screen (i get bored between classes in college, and PS2 + slingbox on laptop would equal heaven). i've been doing research and i've noted that the USB capture cards suck as there's usually a half second to full second delay (even with USB 2.0 inputs), and that for a laptop, a PCMCIA capture card was the way to go. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good card though? The one I keep running across the most is the Avermedia AverTV card, but i read a review that screen resolution looks like crap when you put it to full screen with this particular card. if anyone has any recommendations, suggestions, personal experience, advice, or even just wants to give me an internet hug, i'd really appreciate it.

lappy 486 specs:
-intel core duo t2400 chip @ 1.83 GHz
-1 gig of RAM
-silly dell graphics card
-year old

thanks for the help everyone

Lappy 486...you scared me there for a second :P

I'm sorry but I don't have as much experience with PC Card capture devices. From the sound of the specs it should render totally by software, which is more what you want just for viewing stuff. Cards like the WinTV PVR 150(the desktop card I have) carry a 5 second buffer with their hardware encoding. Of course, this makes it impossible to play games, but fine for live TV or whatever.

Now the same problem still can occur with other capture cards. Even software based ones can have a slight buffer lag so whatever you see is slightly behind what's "live". I can only recommend trying to find some reviews on that card or some other card where people also try to play some console using it and make sure it doesn't have such a problem...
