PDF Readers/Creators etc.

Hi, I would like to have 2 images in a PDF etc. How do I do this. Adobe says you get a few free and then it costs money. Are there any free PDF creators.
 
The only thing you get for free from Adobe is Acrobat READER. The only thing I've ever used to create PDF's is Open Office. However, I think Foxit has some sort of creator as well.
 
I have open office, how do you create them. Say like a manual. I want to add 2 pictures and some text, what Open office do I use?
 
you can use all the open office...
however the better way is using or OpenOffice.org Writer when you write what you want and then you add the image or you can use OpenOffice.org Draw and is the same think using one or the other...
in each OpenOffice, in the userbar there's a button PDF. you click this button and you save your document in .pdf...
