Pentium D 775 duo core

my friend is looking to build a computer and i'm not real sure about this cpu so could someone give me a little input on this one?..is a intel core 2 duo 6400 2.13ghz better?

yes. its better.
the e6400 at 2.13ghz outperforms any pentium d.
if you get the e6600, it'll also outperform any AMD processor currently on the market. (most apps of course)

actually i was pretty sure..more or less just proving a point to another guy who thought that the pentium d was the better deal..i'm all for the duo much thx tho guys

Get the Intel Core 2 Duo. Better Technology and it's much smarter than the Pentium D.
