I would like to upgrade my computers performance so I can run game more smooth. what should I upgrade? my ram or my CPU, or possible my GPU

I have 768MB of ram

my CPU is:

AMD 64bit 3000+

and my GPU is:

Nvidia Gforce 6600 256MB AGP

I'm not looking to upgrade my whole machine, I just want to step it up a little.

Hmmm...what games are you talking about playing? What socket is your CPU/mobo? Does your mobo have PCI-E x16?

I know I have PCI express slots but I dont know if they are 16x and Im not quite sure how to check the socket of my mobo/cpu

Download Everest Home Edition and see what it says for motherboard and CPU, unless you know what motherboard you have, then post a link to where you bought it.

Ok...do you have a PCI-E x16 slot? If you don't know, just post what motherboard you have (manufacturer and model) and we can find out.
