Permission Denied ?

I had a Win Xp and I discover I want a better pc. So i got a new one, which is Windows Vista. All my files are stored in my older drive so I have move the HD to the newer PC. However, Vista said that i cant move or open my files because the permission was denied. Can someone plz help me. Thx

P.S. I'm the administer
 
on the old XP drive did you have a password on your account and was it private ?
if so, thats probably why vista can't access, also check if you have full permission
over the drive and take ownership
 
if your copy and pasting that wont wore no matter what if you copy c drive (or what ever) and paste in new drive.
