Whats up guys??? I Noticed how everyone always talkes about AMD for games..... I used to have an AMD Athlon 2500+ 1.9ghz (old) HAHA....and it ran nice now i have a Petinuim 4 3.4 @ 3.8 and everything runs really smooth gameing.... I mean is there really a big difference... Say if we had 2 comps 1 with an AMD and other with Petinuim 4 in them same games... same graph card everything.... Would u really be able to tell witch one is witch???

Just Would Like To Know Whats The Hype??
Thanxx

Lol

Realistically, I guess not. However, on paper, generally an AMD would be able to squeeze out more FPS. However, the difference is not so huge and therefore (unless you are a hardcore gamer), there is not much variation. However, you have to compare apples with apples.

JAN :D

lol yea but i play alot of games on my comp and every game runs fine... i built it for gameing.. i could have gone with AMD but choose Petinuim.. i dunno havent really bumbed into any game my comp cant play yet...As for the FPS how many we talking about alot??

It'll be a while before you find a game you can't play with that machine. As Jan said an Athlon system would be able to pull a few more FPS but after a certain point you can't tell (unless you run everything with an FPS counter on all the time)

ok cool thanxx guys i was wondering because everyone always saying AMD but i mean my 3.8 P4 works fine for me and ima GAMER but yea all i wanted to know thanxx again!!

It dosn;t mean there wont be a game you can;t play. At the time you wont be able to find any you can;t play because of your CPU, a AMD mightrun faster/Smoother/Better or whatever though.

Sure for games, but when you do multitasking or processor intensive things the intel will run faster/smoother/Better or whatever.

Intel will run fine (like mentioned before) for whatever game you want to play for most likely the next year or two.
