PF usage way too high. HELP!

i wasnt quite sure where to put this so tell me or move it to where it needs to be.

my problem is that my PF usage gets to a really high amount. in 2hrs it had risen to 3gb's(i had left to go somewhere) and on other occasins it would get up to 1gb. the only way i could get it back down is by restarting the computer everytime. Also it slows down my comp. is thier any way to solve this?
btw im not totally sure what the PF is. i kno its page file and that it has to do something with the ram. what is it exactly?
 
anyone? lately its been getting worse..and id have to restart every 2 hrs or so b/c it would just start slowing down too much..
also i think it has to do something with using the internet. b/c if im firefox it will increase. but if im not on it but have limewire download somthing it will increase. once i had limewire disconnected and the PF wasnt going up...
